About Dayton's Raiders
The idea behind the club is to be a good old-fashioned car club like we had in the 1950s, 60s, and 70s, but with today's more progressive, business-like way of doing things.
It is still about having fun, but fun with a purpose, like helping each other getting our vehicles ready for shows, or cruises, or other events. It's to enjoy each other's company and get our families involved in Auto-related activities. It is also to help local children's charities with monies raised during our events.
The original club began in 1974 and was called the Paterson Hustler's Racing Team and was very active and won many trophies, awards and races including a win at the New York City Coliseum's Hot Rod Show.
Some members were not racers, so a name change was made to Dayton's Raiders Auto Club.

Membership is open to all persons of good faith that are interested in promoting American built cars, trucks and motorcycles, and who will abide by the rules and regulations set by the club.

Dayton's Raiders is a non-profit organization for American-made car, truck, and motorcycle enthusiasts. It is not necessary to own a classic American Hot Rod to share in the camaraderie and promotion of the hobby. We will hold events with proceeds to benefit local children's charities, promote a positive image in the auto club community, and to generate relations with other auto clubs in or area, and to have fun with our hobby.
Club meetings will be held at the direction of the Club President, locations to be determined. These meetings will primarily be to go over upcoming events, organize cruise nights, etc. The officers will consist of President, Vice-President, Treasurer, and Secretary. Committees from the membership will be set up as needed for functions, activities, and shows. An office carries with it only the rights necessary for executing the duties of the office. Officers are expected to attend all meetings or contact a designated officer to act as a replacement. None of our rules will take the place of courtesy, tact, and common sense. All members are responsible for the success of this club; furthermore, this will provide the membership with reliable service, advantage and good use.
No illegal drugs or activities will be allowed at club functions. There will be no "burnouts" from vehicles while arriving or leaving club activities. Members will receive a copy of the rules and by-laws, and are required to abide by them.

Constitution of the Club
Dayton's Raiders Auto Club was started in 1972 with the purpose of
providing American made car, truck, and motorcycle enthusiasts with the opportunity to associate with other people of like interests.
The primary goals of the club are:
• To make new friends and have fun with our hobby.
• To organize and host events.
• To raise money for local Children's Charities.
• To set a good example as responsible Hot Rodders.
• To assist other club members in the restoration and preservation of their vehicle by providing time, information, literature, and parts location assistance.
• To show members other ways to have fun with our hobby, such as, but not limited to, Road Racing, Drag Racing, Cruising, Car Show, Motor Cross, Road Rally's, and Nascar.
These goals are in keeping with high standards of American made car, truck, and motorcycle enthusiasts. Dues paying members of the organization will enjoy significant benefits by joining others who share a common interest. Club membership will help the individual member learn more about their vehicle and how to restore it, and provide opportunities to participate in club shows and activities.
Clubs, however, are made up of people. It is these people, our members, who provide assistance, help promote the hobby, and participate in group activities. The success of this club depends on its members working to achieve our common goals and objectives. This places a great deal of responsibility on both the general membership and those who serve as officers.
Club officers are responsible for the management of club activities and general organization, as well as encouraging the involvement of the members in the clubs activities. Being an officer requires hard work and dedication to the purpose of our club. Additionally, they are expected to provide members with information and/or source about such subjects as historical facts, technical tips, as well as sources for parts, meetings, conventions and shows.
The individual members of our club are expected to do their part to contribute their ideas, energies, and talents toward the attainment of our clubs goals and objectives, both short and long term. This involves attending and participating in meetings, paying dues on time, assisting other members whenever possible, maintaining a good public appearance for our club, and most importantly, having fun. This is part of an active thriving car club.
